600C Heat resistant paint for motorsports is a polysiloxane based one component air drying heat resistant paint with a temperature resistance up to 600°C.
This product is available in black and silver colours with a low sheen, highly durable, mar resistant and fast drying (No need for bake or infrared curing processes).
It has excellent adhesion to carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
Design as heat resistant coating for Automotive type exhaust systems including mufflers, ovens, barbecues and all other heat resistant application areas.
Also suitable for burning stoves, chimney stacks, heat exchangers, kilns, boilers, turbine housing, and piping exposed to heat in industrial plants.
Viscosity @ 27 C (B4 Ford cup): 15± 2 Sec Specific gravity: 1.23± 0.030
Drying time: Tack free 20 minutes
Recommended thickness: 15 to 20 micron
Coverage: 11-15m2/ltr
Packing size: 150ml, 400ml, 20ltr & 200ltr
Shelf Life: 6 months in close packed container (Sensitive to moisture)
Surface Preparation
The surface of the pretreated metal has to
be cleaned thoroughly from deposits like finger prints, debris particles from release and slip agents or other process aids left from the manufacturing processes.
Ensure all surfaces are free from all loose dust and any other contaminants i.e. rust, soot, grease, dust etc.
Drying Precautions
+ 10-15 mints for touch dry and 12 hours for hard dry.
+ Best mechanical properties achieved after 7 days full curing at room temperature.
Method of Application
The application of the coating is conducted under normal temperature and dust free conditions.
+ Shake well before using the coating
+ Using LPHV spray gun, spray the coating solution on thoroughly cleaned surface
+ Can also applied with a high quality paint brush (has good self levelling properties)
Precautions

+ Use proper protective equipment while handling.
+ Contains solvents so use in an adequately ventilated area during use.
+ Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water and consult physician if necessary.
